GT Oil light and beeping.

Featured Replies

If a Gt's oil light is beeping even though there is oil in it does this mean there is a lack of pressure or the oils temperature is through the roof? or is it just a case of a dodgy sensor?

could be any of those things, impossible to guess. Getting an oil pressure gauge connected up would be my first step.

Broken connection on the spade onto the sender?? I had this and pooped it, just turned out to be old connections, worked for me, certainly worth a look.

jay

could be low on oil,

could be a dying oil pump

could be a duff sensor

could be the wiring to the sensors, could have popped off and earthed against something metal in the bay.

good luck man, me and ad are on hand to help out if you need it =]

Theres steam outta the bonnet oil light buzzing blue and white smoke everywhere! Not really sure whats going on with it, having it in my local uni garage tomorrow to have it checked. I'm thinking the oil light is due to lack of pressure so the bottom ends had it. :(
