After my old mk3 started to be a pain in the arse with no door handles, I got rid of it. Then I bought a MK1 Clio which was so dull in comparison to the old polos.

I then spotted this MK2 loon quite close to me with £400 with 12 monhs MOT.

Damage to the rear quarter.

The smell inside of it was absolutely rank. The rear seats were covered in dog hair, and underneath there was enough hair to make a lifesize model of the culprit that left it there.

After a few hours of cleaning and polishing to see what the paint came up like, it turned out it wasnt too shabby apart from the odd bit of rust here and there. Also it had been keyed down the passengers side and been touched up, really badly.

The engine is the sweetest of all the mk2/3's i have driven, I couldnt quite get over how quiet it idles after it has all warmed up.

Here are a few pics of it when it was clean, however they are of pretty poor quality as me and martinB have decided we are crap at photography, especially at night.

Future plans.

-Full respray in the same colour (might add a bit of metallic to it to give it a bit of shine.)

-Front struts converted to coilovers.

-Mk1 golf rear coilovers.

-Polybush everything.

-New front seats (standard ones in better condition)

-1.4 16v AFH (tho after reading MikeyMK's topic i might build a 1.6)

-CBR 600 carbs

-4-2-1 manifold and custom system

-GT Gearbox

-Vauxhall Brake conversion

-14 inch wheels minimum (need some help deciding on this one)

Its gonna be an expensive one, however I'm already gathering parts for it all and hope to have it all done by the end of summer this year.

I was amazed a how cheap it was. It was on this very forum for weeks and noone snapped it up. Cheers guys. I'm hoping it will all be done before the show season ends.

Ok, I spent hours this morning trying to get the paint in better shape. So as soon as I got back from uni I got the old G10 and machine polisher out.

The paint has come out wicked, I will let the pictures do the talking.

That rear quarter is going to be sorted out as soon as I can afford some paint, might have obtained some wheels for it too, and they are definately a bit different.

nice mate, blacken up your arches and bumpers too, it'll look so much better
