hey guys.I'm Baz and i'm from Ireland.said i'd throw my new gt here for a laugh. so shes a red 91 gt coupe,got her just 3 weeks ago,taken a pretty good knock to the front but no panel damage what so ever,so happy days. :) basic plans are to build a fun little daily driver as quickly as i can on a very tight budget.so far i'v got it home washed it,cleaned the inside,put in a c.d player,changed oil and filter started it and removed 1 steering arm.

whats been done already:

60/40 shocks and springs

13''bbs ra's

full g40 interior

factory steel sunroof

jetex panel filter

decat

had fogs but one got broken :(

so from what i can see so far she's gonna need:

2 steering arms

2 lower wishbone struts

2 drive shafts

plugs and points

4 tyres

tracking and balancing

and 1 drivers side rear arch.

and the wish list:

german plates

new powerflex bushes

4 branch mani

8k chip

268/268 cam

ss exhaust system

and maybe some dish.

so thats pretty much it..got another polo for parts as part of the deal,but my brothers taken a shine to it so on the lookout for these parts off something else.if any one could help please drop me a pm. hoping to have it at some shows in Ireland this summer so fingers crossed.lets see how it goes. :) questions and comments welcome,be they good or bad. ok,so here we go..got the car first then cleaned it,cleaned up under the bonnet,removed the seats,passenger bent..any ideas?then began stripping the front to replace all the broken/bent parts..have all the new ones sourced,cleaned and sprayed..hopefully put it all back together tomoro.here are the pics,sorry theres so many.. :)

thanks mate,carb cleaner,jet washer and a can of matt black paint was all it took. :)

massive thread revival. :p pics shortly.

as she stands at the moment..needs a little pull and a drivers side rear arch to finish her off. :)

Them tarantulas look gorgeous, What colour are they and wheres the paint from?

They will look awesome in some decent rubber.

@ gozzard: its a hybrid colour,basically had a can of matt black and a can of chrome and basically painted the wheel chrome and then dusted a few layers of matt black on.,the trick is to go light and build up a few layers.it gives a textured matt look but with a wicked sparkle when the light hits it.just had those 2 colours lying around,wasnt expecting it to look that good tbh. :p hope that helps.

and we're back in business. havnt had time to do proper pics and shes far from mint,but shes finally on the road and my god is she quick. some yolk to go.

a few pics of the progress in getting it back together..

now its onto getting everything hanging/sitting the way i want it,and getting some nice bits for her. already have a set of pretty sweet wheels lined for after the winter(pics shortly) and have some engine bits to do aswell.the rest will just be touch ups and bodywork stuffs. i'l update as i go.

And the new wheels.saving them for the show season. :p

Practically been living in halfords this week. got a new fan belt and also some plugs while I was at it. This is how she's sitting at the moment,needs a good wash. :p

just copying and pasting across from vagdrivers.net,the irsh vw site i'm on. :)

And here we go.a teaser of how the new wheels will sit,although they're going to look a fair bit different the next time ye see them plus the front wheel will act be bolted to the car. :p enjoy.

Bit of a bump for this. good few pics aswell. Lost the exhaust on the way to athlone,as some of you may have heard! :p anyway,drove it to Brian(jettaboy)'s house that friday evening and we removed the exhaust. the centre section was giving problems so we cut it out and popped in a straight piece of pipe. sounds wicked now,nice and raspy outside but quieter than before inside. :) will do the trick for now.

Then on the Sat i began stripping one of the new wheels. more pics of the colour options up next.

And the colour options. they're obv testers btw.. :p

All with a polished lip.Black,red, or red with a polished face. Red is my choice.
