Magnat 4.5"(6" overall) component also fully working but one has a tiny hole in the surround (screwdriver damage) £10 posted or three packs of plain chocolate mcvities digestives.

Dude, a few days ago I fitted 3.5" speakers in my dash and have to tell you that you won't get these at 4.5" in there.

If you want to gamble though, £10 posted.

you sure? i just measured the width of it and its 4.5 inch exactly. but if they dont fit they dont fit...

Pop one of the grills off and have a peek in there with your tape measure buddy, pains me to lose a sale but I've got to be honest with you.

These are going to fit in the doors of mk1&2 Golfs and mk1&2 (maybe 3&4) Polos, they have no use in a 6n or I'd be fitting them in mine.

I'm getting the idea that maybe people don't know how to measure a speaker. The 4.5" I specified is the width of the cone, the overall width of each speaker including basket is 6.5".

huh? then itll fit in a 6n door? just measured one of my sets of door speakers and the width of the whole thing including plastic round the edge is 6.5 inch

...and if you look at the Magnats you'll notice that the fixing holes are on tabs which protrude from the basket while on the standard 6n speakers there is a solid edge.

I'm being stupid too! While the edge profile is an issue...

the fact that I've got the overall size wrong also contributes! The Magnats actually have an overall width of 6", where I got 6.5 from I don't know.
