Got a 2G engine out of my polo but I was told it was fitted with a new GT cam and hydralic tappets. Any way of telling the difference?? Markings, numbers ect. it has also got the full pump lobe. I will quite happy measure the lobes too. the cam is in mint condition.

think its got them markings it,its at work atm. Anyone want to buy i if it is a gt cam ????

If it's got the lobe for the fuel pump, it's not a GT (3F) cam. Simples!

2g's use a mechanical fuel pump, bolted to the bvack of the head on the right as you look at it, GT cams need an electric fuel pump.

well thats narrowed that down lol dunno if it has been reground not sure. i'll measure the lobes tomoz i kw it has got more lift than the 2g cam
