After about 30mins of driving the temp-gauge, fuel-gauge and warning lights except the highbeam lamp quits. The next morning they all work again..for about 30 mins.

Anyone know where to start looking?

Probably dodgy solder on the clocks. When they heat up the solder will separate as the PCB expands slightly. So they're fine when cold.

Do you know if the clocks and warning lamps share ground point and does the illumination, clock and indicator for high beams have a separate ground point?

all one earth point ...you could snip and earth it on the coloum bracket , i tried that on mine but i had probs still

I've had 4 sets of clocks in mine now ...prob best get another set out the classifieds

not sure theres much soldered on them , all the resistors n stuff are crimped

ok.. Seems to be a well known problem. What color is the negative lead?

Ok.. so I think I fixed the problem.

On top of the instrument cluster there are a bunch of resistors (about four or five). These are crimped in place to connect to all the oter stuff in the cluster.

I solved this by glueing the spots that were crimped.The glue was a special conductive glue (2 x 15ml = £30).

I have been driving for over one week now and the cluster is working fine.
