Car pulls to the left under acceleration

Featured Replies

when ever i accelerate the car pulls of to the left fairly badly but when i take foot off the accelerator returns to the right

spent 3 hours on the ramps, all bushes are fine and ball joints etc

so mechanic is going to ring vw to see what they reckon, he thinks it could just be the shoulder bolt,

any one had any trouble like this ?

thanks in advance

torque steer

has it eva bean in a bad car crash?? what wheels have you got on?

wos it a level road you did it on? is the tracking and camber ok?

Worn shocker, spring, wishbone bush, top mount, odd tyres...blah blah, list is nearly endless!

I second the camber and tracking, also check the tyre pressures.

Simple things that shouldn't be over looked IMO.

cheers guys writing down the list and see what the mechanic says he's a family friend and a vw/audi specialist so hopefully have a diagnosis when it goes back in tomoz

also if it was tracking surly id get wheel shake and alot of vibrations at speed which there isnt just a sharp tug to the left on acceleration

it depends what way its out. dose it go round right hand corners betta than left hand corners or the other way around?

how long has it done it for? has it done it since you put those after market wheels on?

wheels have been balanced they were on the car when i bought it and just looked through the paper work and found the invoice for it being done

any chance it could be the toe ?

it cood be the offset on the wheels is rong.

the "toe" is part of the traking. i wood get the tracking and camber checked..

cos if your camber wos off it wood make the car act like that.

i would go for wishbone bushes myself

myn was doing this and my subframe was rotten and the wishbone had pulled out lol scary shit

i would go for wishbone bushes myself

it cood be eny thing mate

wheels, tyers, stearing rack, bushes, tracking, camber, bad crash damage, track rod ends, strut top mounts,

the list goes on and on.

but wood be best changing the bushes befor doing the camber..

only say wishbone bushes as mine went and it pulled left under acceleration, and braked to the right, but yes it could be anything :-)
