Fuel Prices

Featured Replies

They are ridiculous, 114.9 in blackpool and its getting higher, I've gone from puttin £15 a week in mine to now £20 a week from a tenner lst year, its time the idiots we call the government to start thinking about its country and not itself cos we cld end up in another recession or a lot of people in debt with the way things are going. I'm an apprentice and can now barely afford to have a good weekend without planning it weeks before!

same.

£1.14 here. I do about 250-300 miles a week, so at these prices, I'm putting about £40 a week into the Saxo weapon. Thank fuck I don't have the E36 anymore, that'd be about £80 a week, I'd have to stop drinking!

i was talking about how expensive it was, as in £1.19. not how much i go through a week

..The industry must explain itself, but the global price of unrefined crude oil is no longer the obvious scapegoat. Petrol reached its previous high as the price of crude soared to a staggering $148 per barrel. This time around, the price of crude oil is still relatively low. London Brent crude prices have only breached the $80 level twice in the last 12 months, pushed up from December 2008's post-Lehman low of around $30 by coordinated production cuts from the 13 OPEC oil-producing countries.

Not only does the global oil price not provide a clear reason for rising petrol prices, but refining capacity is being cut back in both Europe and the US as oil majors react to pressure on margins caused by the sharp recessionary drop in demand, raising concerns that the industry is milking cash-strapped motorists. "The pain at the pump for British motorists is set to continue, and the real worry is where it will end," said Adrian Tink, motoring strategist at the RAC. "In 2008, there was a very obvious reason for the rises, whereas now government tax rises and oil companies' wholesale prices will draw the ire..."

A new petrol station opened up near me last week and it started selling at 112.9 a

litre and it's gone up to 115.9 and thats WITHOUT a fuel increase at the budget.I

have a mate who works in Dubai and he says they have tankers tied up waiting for

the price of fuel to RISE before they start moving oil again...so for once it's not the

government ripping us of...it's those fooking Arabs and the fuel companies...

Everytime there is a fuel rise there is a new thread, and it's amazing how many fuel thread keep popping up, or at least get bumped...

Eitherway, i can no longer afford to brim the tank like i did when i started driving, and since i've been driving i've had no wage rises, just more expenses.

I was told by VW my GTI must have the super :(:( makes it even worse :(:(.....paying about 123 :(:( costs well over 50 a week :(:(

its a fucking ballache but come on its not like its unexpected. i probably wouldnt mind so much if the roads were smooth though, but they're not

this sucks I cant even remember when it was below a pound and its going to go up even more along with bozze and fags, I hate this goverment

I Don't even look at the prices, i put petrol in... run it till it needs more and repeat ;)

COR we cant do nothing about it so stop ranting i hate seeing titles that you just know are gonna bbe pointless rants the government have us by the nads they could put it up to you know £1.99 and we'd still buy it people depend on cars now just like they have smokers with their ever increasing prices too

Exactly what I do!! I need to use my car to get to work to pay for my flat it doesnt matter what it costs I always make sure I've got enough money for it!

It is devastating though to watch the soaring prices of petrol for the people who rely on it so badly. To rebuild the economy we should first make it easier for people to get around and to get to and from work.

Love how you think 1.14 is expensive, bog standard fuel is 1.20 and high octane is 1.28+ has been for about 3weeks, dont even bother looking at the pump anymore...

115.9 here, it rough.

to be honest i haven't taken any notice.

Just throw a full tank in. I'm still going to buy fuel as i need it. So the price is irrelevant. It isnt going to get any cheaper.

I put £60 in the Rocco earlier in the week, it's not many years ago I could tank a transit for that :(

going on random joy rides is a thing of the past now, fucking cock sucking ass licking government and Arabs :-(

same i just keep filling until it goes up to 30£ and try not to look at how many litres i dont have.

Would probs be a good idea aswell to put a sticker over most of the fuel gage and jus leave it so you can see when you go in the red lol
