If anyone should post up here asking what they should do to their car all they get is abused for trying to please people, and told to do their own thing. But if someone posts up saying 'heres my car, I've done my own thing, what do you think?' they get abused because it aint all that.

And also, one thing I have learned through experience, NEVER assume an old civic is slow! All them boys are down on the mods and them things fly, running 10's on street tyres. And they handle well. So it cracked me up to see the OP reply saying that the civic has been hopped up.

As for 'my mate had a xxxxx on xxxxx ring road' we all know those sort of comments are always pub talk, but entertaining none the less. So I dont think we need the ritual ribbing. We have all had a go with somthing faster and felt that we had the edge in certain aspects. A lot of 'high performance' cars arent all that fast anyway.

As for drilling holes in stuff, its not really my thing but hey, its free, looks purposeful, and makes your car faster and more fuel efficient!

I know where you're comin from, but my experience is completely the opposite! I read/ post on civiclife a fair amount and most the guys on there just make replicas of the faster cars, for example buy an EK3 and stick the EK9 bits on them so they look quick but actually aren't.

250bhp is not achievable on a B18C without a turbo, or very expensive port work/boring out the bottom end. Mine is running 13:1 compression ratio with 290 degree cams and makes 218bhp with proper tuning. Also has full Mugen breathing mods. You are talking shit, boy.

Also, no civic running 10s is gonna handle well lol. You need 6-700bhp to run 10s lol. Mine ran a 13.4 at 105, so maybe high 12s is still gonna retain some handling.

Eril runs 10's with 500bhp, and some of the civic drags in the states they wont let you enter unless you run a 10. And a 10 second civic handles a damn sight better than most RWD cars that run similar times! You only really need stiff rear springs and a bit of crazy castor on the front. I dont really see why a very quick FWD car cant be a track monster round the corners too if you have adjustable suspension and swap your tyres.

Yes a saxo would have my car any day, but its down to the driving, and this guy was clearly shite.

That Eg civic has 250 bhp, an integra 1.8 bottom end, high compression pistons and mental cams.

its on 600 quid coilies and has a 450 quid exhaust system.

it plays with M3's, Evo's and Scoobys.

It doesnt look like much but trust me. its quick.

theres no way a b18 .. which I'm assuming has a b16 top end is running 250hp. If it was turbo'ed then yes but no way is that possible without MAJJJOOOOORRR head/bottom end work and alot of goodies!

Youd struggle to get that out of a b18c.. with lots of a work! but yeah enough of this b18 bollox..

its all about the b16's yo , you wanna feel that kick!
