Yep all opinions welcome, I knew not everyone would like this sort of project, was quite surprised how many people have, even when people dont like it they usually help give opinions to improve it.

Looking lush mate, think i prefered your pug though, you got any plans to tune this thing much??

Oh and hows the wheel saga comming along?

I CANT WORK OUT WHETHER I LIKE THIS lol

I think that sorting the wheels out, possibly a bit of spacing will sort out the underbite front end. I like the rear though

i forgot to add, nice one on doing soemthing a bit different. Good work! :)

I like it, it looks tough. will look 10x better with a new set of wheels tho, good work mate!

A quick update:

Wheel apparently will finally be arriving on Monday, cant wait!

Tinted the back windows myself, not done a bad job even If I do say so myself!

The front bumper has undergone a makeover this week as it just looked too long, I've compacted it very slightly. Will be getting fitted with the wheel on mon/tuesday next week.

Should look so much better with the new wheels and front end sorted out a little.

Pictures soon

Forgot to mention, no plans to tune it really. I love to ridiculously good mpg I get. If I give myself more power I wont be able to help myself but use it lol

What's the "wheel"? Any further piccies of the bumper tweaks? Got any rims in mind?

I really like this...its a little bit of twist from the norm...am i right in thinking that it now looks like the newer polos now??? not into the newer polos at all and cant make my mind up lol

think you should have angle that black on the bonnet a bit so that it followed the lines coming from the grill if you get what i mean

good work though

The wheels will be these: 2zq7ccj.jpg

As for the black it just follows the lines of the bumper and bonnet, would have looked daft if id have just made new lines I think, but yeah its a newer shape front end style

youve had to wait ages for the mugello's mate, hopefully they will be worth the wait, will be interesting to see what they look like

I know stupidly long!

I have had a bit of a discount for the wait, as its been a bit embarrassing really for the company. They have messed me about far too much.

Should be here anytime today, cant wait to see what they look like on!

I would never buy from them again mate they fucked me around with my order, one of my wheels arrived damaged (cracked rivet) and they refused to replace the wheel so they sent a replacement rivet for me to fit myself. POTN = Cheap prices but awful customer service! wouldnt reccomend them to anyone

Wheels still never arrived, despite being told they were on the way apparently now they are not even in the country!

Id be fuming mate

I've cancelled my order, I'm sick of it.

Something very different up my sleeve instead.

Think this car will be turned into a runabout for a while to get me by, and thinking of dumping a 1.9 tdi engine into a 6n (alot of research to do on this yet), putting out about 160bhp which is really easy to achieve from that engine. Then flogging this.

Not 100% going for this yet, but its on the cards deffo

Well after a bit of thought I decided I was going in the wrong direction with the car so had a bit of a rethink.

Heres some of the progress:

The bonnet will be resprayed silver again this weekend, and hopefully the newly refurbed ATS Cups will be fitted with stretched tyres by the weekend after!

Should look a very different car then.

Basically the plan is do go for the low look with some nice deepdish shiny wheels hehe

After putting in a good solid 35 hours giving these a refurbish since last saturday when I picked them up. They are finally looking something like!

They still need another good polish to get the mirror shine up, but they give you a good idea how they are going to look! They are covered in rubbing down water here still from me re-doing the black this afternoon.

There was alot of lacquer peal, tonnes of corrosion and all 4 were badly curbed last saturday afternoon, really pleased with how well they have come up.

Just cant wait to get the rubbers on them now and fit them, new VW centre caps, spigots and chrome valves arriving over the weekend!

I like the new front. Goes together with rear bumper.

What tyres are you getting? Rims are 15x7J?

Bridgestones 165/50/15 nice little bit of stretch so hopefully it wont rub too much without alot of arch work

Bit of a transformation this weekend!

A nice silver bonnet again, much more subtle I'm happy with it.

Also managed to get the bridgestones stretched onto the Cups and get them all fitted this morning.

Looks great I'm really happy.
