what side coss thay are both diffrent

Going to be a bit cheeky (as I'm not willing to break it) and point you toward my whole mk3 fog setup here which contains a projector unit almost identical to a mk2 Golf one. With some modification it will fit either side.

Not sure what side I need but it needs to have 'R' stamped in the corner for right hand side. Obviously not sure if that's right or left from inside the car looking out or outside the car looking at the front! But definitely stamped 'R' is what i need!

(If you don't want my mk3 one then tell me and I'll stop pestering you :)) If you mean next to the adjuster thread, my mk3 one has two adjuster threads, one stamped R and the other stamped L. I suspect it's set up for L since the adjuster thread is in the L side, however you can cut the sealant out and turn the lamp the other way to make the beam pattern correct for the other side (otherwise it'll cut off at the bottom and light up above it ). I've done this on one side of what's on my mk3 now, and I believe the other side is a mk2 Golf item.

Anyway I'll stop trying to sell it to you now!
