I have a 2004 Polo GT Tdi and the front wipers have just started playing games! they park at the top of the screen, when you use them they stutter from time to time, get stuck and generally mess about!

Any ideas?? I'm thinking wiper relay but not even sure where it is located?!

it doesn't have a relay as such, it all comes off the central convienience unit which also controls electric windows and a few other bits

more likely motor itself that is shot

try greasing your wipers first, my 9n had a similar issue, a quick strip down and some spray grease on the mech had them good as new :)
