Bit of a long shot, just wondered if anyone has a pair or possibly just drivers side early flat wing mirror for an '83 classic?

fairly sure you can still buy them new. they were a pattern part supplied by eithe gsf or euro car parts, cant remember which. there was a thread on polo3.co.uk ages ago about them

Nope, these are OEM mk2 polo mirrors which were only on for the first year of production on the X reg. GSF ones are same style as the mk3 door mirrors.

I have a pair of the flat mirrors in really good nic if you wanna make me an offer

just looked at the picture again and they are different to the ones i was thinking off. there as some mirros sold by either gsf or euro that have the same mirror base as the ones fitted to the mk3, but the mirror casing is a different shape to std, but i cant find a pic of them anywhere!

I have one drivers side flat one, not sure if it is oem or not tho.
