Comments: I'm trying to strip every last bit of weight from the car see how far i can push it.

this is when i first bought the car for 90 pounds, taxed and mot'd.

g40 bbs ra's,raid 280,greenstuff ebc pads

made some perspex rear quarters, saved 3.11kg

more grinding and holes to be cut in the door for those prescious gramms,also some perspex windows to come.

Make sure you dont fart in it afterwards, the hot air will make it fly away

I'm going to fabricate my own base mounts and have them solidly mounted to the floor. so i can cut out the original runners

i have been looking online at the original weight of a mk2 coupe non sunroof and I've found out it is 720 kg. can anyone confirm this ?

Get a single light grille that'll save you a fair bit.

EDIT: Just noticed you gone away with the grille all together which I suppose is another option! haha

yeah i wont be runinng a grill what so ever.

relocated the horn so you cant see it

removed the exhaust ready for the engine removal

started removing the tar from the floor

fitted some 80mm rear suspension i had knocking around.tosay its lowered by 80 it doesnt look low

going to cut the springs at the front,as i spotted today the front o/s spring has collapsed anyway

engine out tomorrow along with some un needed metal

went to the loveshack today and took the engine out with paul

no more 1 litre

cut out some of the extra metal that was on the headlight mount along with the raintray

still need to keep at it cutting more bits off etc.

i might be bringing it to cov in september I'm not sure yet. i dont want the lecturers to laugh at me toomuch when i bring it too the workshop. and yeah the times hsould be a lil diffferent. 550kg is the target to get to then i have 100bhp per tonne for a 55bhp engine :)

haha, so what ws the start weight of the car, if your target is 550g?

Depending on the source its around 750-790 :)
