as you can see i have the wheels painted and r888's fitted. also painted over the polished part of my raid 280.

philj kit has arrived 80/60 kit if i haven't written that already.

sourced a 4speed gearbox for free. interestingly 4speed gearboxes hold 0.9 litres less oil than in 5speed. lightweight baby :)

forgot to post this. these are the pins i will be using for the bonnet(4) and the boot (2)

ditch the bonnet and replace it with perspex with a pin in each corner, it would be a hell of a lot lighter and you could see through it as an added cool little twist

this should go well with a valver lump in it, although isn't fitting a 4 speed box a little counter productive? they may weigh a little less but the gearing after 2nd gear is shite. my mates mk2 had about 70bhp and it was quick in first and second, but after that the gearing killed it

the main reason isnt for weight, for some reason i just quite like 4 speeds.

i have a choice of 2 other 5speed boxes so if it is crap will just pop it off
