Completion wont be until late summer i doubt. I'd like to a run out to Gti International, what with it being 25th anniversary and it was the first show I ever went to 6 years ago. Depends on paint really. I'm going to try and speak to the body shop tomorrow to see what the diary looks like and hopefully book it in.

In my head, the time schedule looks like this:

Dec '11 - All engine parts ordered/arrived

Jan '12 - All suspension/chassis components ordered

Feb '12 - Mock up engine in bay - any associated welding of brackets etc

March '12 - Build up as rolling chassis, send off for full roll cage then paint

May '12 - Start final build up, off for mapping and enjoy!!!

That way i have loads of time to iron out any issues, going to be loads, and see whats what. It wont happen like that as it never does. Atleast after mk1 of the charged AFH i know roughly what to expect, and have ironed out those issues already. The only difference is its got a turbo chucked in for good measure.

Turbo and manifold arrives tomorrow and I'm meant to be picking up my custom inlet manifold on friday. So hopefully come the weekend i'll be able to get some photos of everything mocked up on the engine stand!

Jheeez! It's gonna be a weapon, can't wait to see more man.

Right,

Not updated in a long while, but due to moving house in to my own place, money being tighter etc, I have put the forced induction on hold/maybe cancelled, but definitely postponed in way for a carbed 1.6 16v AVY lump to get me back in a polo rather than the caddy van.

The car is still coming together, at more of a pace now than ever before to be fair!

In the last 3 weeks it has had...

front top mounts

polybushed rear top mounts

Poly rear axle bushes

rear stub axles

rear disks

mk4 rear calipers

rear disks and pads

Braided brake hoses

New copper solid lines

24mm master cylinder

new LARGE radiator

twin 10" fans

new 4 branch

cbr600 carbs

sytec efi conversion fpr and low pressure fpr

braided fuel hose

clutch

mk1 golf hubs

front wheel bearings

mk1 golf outer cv's

steering rack boots

clutch cable

throttle cable

boarded and carpeted rear inc. suspension turrets

stack gauges - oil pressure & temp, AFR

Nitrous bottles and brackets installed, braided line

Nitrous minimax controller

painted engine bay

painted rear beam

new expansion tank

fully rebuilt wiring loom

HID kit

new front bumper

custom crash bar for new rad

oil cooler

carbon bucket seats mounted on OMP frames

new engine mount rubbers

lots of bits painted and tidied up.

Its going down to a company in essex for the OMEX 600 ecu fitting, mapping and MOT so i can drive it home completed at the end of May.

I'm back down with it tomorrow so i'll pick my camera up and upload some photos finally!

Glad you got this back on track man. Look forward to the pictures

UPDATE IT!

This is now up for sale. Moving to canada for work, new house etc has put a stop to it for almost a year. Very nearly complete and has a lot of money in parts for it. Shell has only 58k on it and engine is a new rebuild. Fsh for shell. Looking for 1100 as it stands or I'll break it. Pm me serious offers people. Needs gone in 3 weeks time.

Update i suppose. Left the scene completely and lost all love for anything modding related. Moved house, moved away for work etc and the polo was forgotten about. But I have decided that she is too good to sit and rust, be broken or scrapped. So despite being sat outside, motionless for nearly 3 years it will be returning home this weekend hopefully for some much needed tlc with the aim to have it back on the road by the end of the year.

Rather embarrassingly, here is how she has been stood for those years.... (was supposed to be covered up, but i have been out of the country.)

So, look out for wanted ads for interior trim bits and pieces as i'll be needing a few!

What's the word on this now? Did you ever get it sorted out. Also any chance you still have the videos/photos of the lysholm running. Seem to be taken down :(

Hope you kept going with this...

Had a Lupo GTI with an AAS Manifold/exhaust and a CDA filter and that was a fun enough engine, picture this to be a really fun and well balanced conversion! even without the charger.

Hi everybody, I'm .joe's brother and the car is up for sale. It's been sat in our driveway the past year in the same state as the photos above.( except on a nice dry driveway, no weeds). He moved to America so needs it all gone. Has been up for sale on eBay a couple of months ago but nothing happened. So it's time for it to go.

I know he wants roughly £1000 for everything whether that's in pieces or whole. Obviously whole would be better for me.

I will get a full list of what's on the car asap and go from there.

Thanks
