hi i want to spray the cases on my mirrors

I've took the glass out and unscrewed the 4 screws to loosen the case but there is no way it will come off

do i have to remove the whole mirror from the inside?

I've had a search & looked in haynes just cant find anythin

help would be appreciated :) maybe pics if there is any?

Alright mate, first you have to remove the door cards, unsrew the lock pins then the black plastic on the door handle should clip off and behind that ther is two phillips screw, then remove the black plastic backing on the inside of the door that is level with the door mirror, then remove the window winder if you have one, with the handle down push the plastic washer thing behind the winder upwards now the winder should pull off, just yank the door card from the bottom and its should just all pop off, then you will see three phillps srews holding the mirror on just undo then and the whould mirror comes off, ather that the glass just pops out. That's asfar as I did mine to paint them I just masked the rest off, hope it helped a bit.

right as said in his post he already had them off and in bits.

i dont think you can get them any more apart than removing the 4 phillips screws mate, i had a look yesterday, as that metal tube looks like peened over to hold it in place, so maybe jus a mask up job, but I'm not suer

I've literally JUST finished spraying my new stubby mirror for my 6n2. could get the left side off and the right side but it was stuck hard in the middle and didnt wanna pull it anymore for fear of snapping the plastic. i just masked around it.
