standard interior for now but hopefully get it retrimmed with the purple suade it's going to look muy mmccchhhh (ish from custom my ride style) lol

love this colour, matte isawesome and the wheels and stance make it look perfect, they 14" yer?

What stance lol? Wheels that are too wide for the car is hardly stance, and the arch gap!

Paint looks well good, really not feeling the rims though!

Are you aware that 'stance' isnt anything in particular? its just a word to describe something

Would you say to someone who thought the contrast between a creme fraiche scone and a bitter black cup of earl grey was perfect - "thats not contrast" if you didnt share that same particular taste?

Pretty obvious when a car has a good stance. A low car doesn't have any 'stance' if the wheels don't suit the car properly, they are too big, too small, don't fill the arches. You have to get the look right to have stance IMO.

Like saying 'oh look theres a fit bird'. Being fit isn't anything in particular, it's just someone who you think looks good. Fair enough I might have written the wrong wording for that previous paragraph but my point still stands. If you would consider that as stance, it's pretty shit.

For instance, this is good stance...

This isn't a good stance.

//thread rape off.

Also, my brothers polo is as low or lower than that with a golf splitter on, and he has more than 10mm ground clearance underneath. If it was that low you wouldn't be able to drive it anywhere. You would get stuck on every single kerb, even ultra low ones.

Also, I wouldn't try and fit 13x8's on a Polo, as they are far too small, 14's minimum man!

Low this, stance that.

Supposed to be a club, your supposed to how stpuid other clubs are!

I never get the low thing: "ooh look I can't use car properly"

And stance is in the eye of the beholder, but again if you have to stretch your tyres notch your chassis to get stance or mega lows then whats the poin of that.

It's a polo at the end of the day!

And I've already said i liked this car and i do, just not a fan of yellow lights and black wheels but then its not my car!

Going by that principle, why do anything to a car? Why not leave it standard? I'm not into super low cars, but a car that sits right over some nice wheels is always going to be a winner.

Never said a car was better standard, In my opinion (which is not fact!) I would always modify a car so i could use it practically, but thats my cup of tea!

if you want to bicker PM me instead of ruining somones buildthread!

I was looking into this colour the other day for my Mk2 Coupe, looks real sweet on your 6N :D

Loving the car!

btw I love how this whole sites kicking off recently about people saying bad things about other peoples cars... it makes for good reading!

I know I think it's well funny when sad little boys start crying about someone trying something a little different then 'dropping it on nice wheels', before I get anal raped there is nothing wrong with doing that...

And I know it's just a polo hence I haven't spent as much as half the people have on here, need to leave a comment good or bad and stop crying mate :)

oh and if you read carefully I clearly state this polo is no where near finished and the arches will be done to suit the wheels when I can afford it ...

Thats just it, you cant say what is or isnt good about something when someone says thats what they like

That would be like youre thinking that the things you like, personally, are what everyone else should like, and are the rules/laws on what particular taste is

You just proved my point perfectly when you described about the fit bird situation, change 'fit bird' to 'sweet stance' - "wow, thats a fit bird" then your comment - "thats not a fit bird, thats nothing like a fit bird"

Its all personal preference, like for instance, you say that nova has got a shit stance, i actually love the stance of it (i agree with you on the other cars though)

If the guy who started this little debate would of said - thats a sweet apple, when it clearly is a pear, then you said that its not an apple, then all would be cool

But never mind hahaha, you realised that you worded it wrong so schwibbidy schwoo 8-)

Jesus, give the lad a break, his choice and all that.

Plans sound good man, 'breaking the mould' sorta.

Keep doing what you enjoy, man.

Yeah sorry for the thread killings Barkshire :lol: educating is costly :ninja:

Lol no problems made me laugh... But like I said and I'll say it again, it's a long long way off finished and when I say it's finished THEN say you don't like the bits I clearly have not finished ;) haha

Loving the purple mate

What are the down sides to having a car matte?

Debating on doing my car

Easier to scratch/mark/scuff etc

And people relate flat painted cars to 'rat look':lol:

they're the only 2 downsides I've found with the cars I've had matt

saw this at stoner park , was with a friend in the lime green mk3 polo on borbet t's if anyone see it ? anyways polo looked nice man must have got pretty dusty were it was

  • Author

Yeah saw your polo looked mad! Love it! And yes it got soooo dusty!

The only disadvantage I've had being matt is water marks but they just come straight off with a damp cloth so nothing major, any scuffs/scratches are easy to repair as you just respray the panel...

brush in british army lead based anti radar paint lol

I've just never really understood the "air ride is for pussies" sticker on stuff that isn't even that low.
