What are they replacing to charge £830?

Could you not go to a smaller garage that don't have silly labour prices?

its some belt (not fan/cam belt) or pulley and the 2 fans are faulty its 130 for the service 100 for the belt pulley thing and the fans are 600. I've had some bad experiences with smaller garages so just take the car to main dealers as i do about 22k a year

Ouch poor Tomouse!

I spose thats not too bad altho i thought you are golf had done more than 130k? Mine passed 90k the other day, made me sad! (and its got its MOT this weekend)

How long they got it 4?

Don't moan about prices when you are going to the main dealer.

Bad experiences? Ask around for a recommendation of a good one?

Excuse my ignorance, but what fans are these that be costing £600 to sort out?

are they rolls-royce engined helicopter blades/fans...?

as usual got it abit wrong :oops: it came to £730 all in it had a mini service, tensioner/pulley, 2 fans, and the radiator was leaking and the vat was £105 so i can live with that just. One day might get something right, but i doubt it
