Stayed standard for too long, but that had to change, specialy with all the bits i needed in the garage

(no spring compressors were used in the lowering of this polo )

I think this might be a good little project but seriously lowering without spring compressors is shady as fuck not to mention mega dangerous. If you keep lowering like that your gonna be making full use of all those national insurance contributions one day.

currently unemployed, so i reckon I've made enough contributions to cover a plaster

no need to use a spring compressor, infact having used them in the past id rather avoid using them if i can

if you undo everything whilst the weight of the car is still on the spring then jack the car up slowly the spring can't jump out anywhere

Cheers chubby, get some strange looks respraying a car in the street, although my mates neighboroughs should be used to it, mines the 3rd to be painted on that bit of road :-D

Nope, when we actully got round to painting we swapped the cars around a bit so we had a huge space with one of our cars at each end the houses are more likely to get over spray :-D

hurry up and get the other photos haha! i wanna see how it turns out

-80mm's on the front and -40mm's on the back, no rubbing catching or anything :-D

Needs a wash and the roof polished, but some photos i took wailst in the new forest :-)

Finally got round to painting the roof :-D not polished yet (got to wait for 2.5 litres of laquer to harden properly) but it looks awesome in my opinion

managed to get some half decentish photos of the roof

Also managed to seize the engine

so wailst it was out waiting for bits to be fitted to the replacement got a friend to have a play with the engine bay :-)

a little bit of tarting up later and the new engine looked like this...

and got it fitted (excuse all the bits of tape labeling wires and pipes)

gona get the inside on the bonnet done to match the engine bay somtime soon with any luck.
