Featured Replies

what differs from a normal g40?

colour with genesis logos

uprated suspention

special unique seats

genesis logo mats

genesis sound(2 dash tweeters,2 rear speakers,2 subwoofers, uprated headunit to power these)

colour coded bumpers front and rear

colour coded mirrors

front fog lights

green tinted glass

leather steering wheel and gearknob

dash casstette holder

hella clear front indicators

all the important bits then ;)

still love it, easily the best colour and the rarity is an added treat

mental! i knew it was rare but i didn't realise there was only one RHD one in the UK! :o

no no. this is the only RHD Genesis G40 in the WORLD.... ever.

i find that very hard to belive?! to make a production car they have to make a certain numbers? they made a limited amount!

They did have it in production though didn't they. The normal polo that all of us MK3 owners drive

In that respect its the same as any other polo.

I've seen this floating around on a few forums, unless that was a LHD one?

It is awesome!

I want the paint code!

that would of been a left hand drive one which i also own

Havnt seen this around in a while i rember seeing it a few years back ..

Nice buy i always thaught the woman was never going to sell it ..

Chris this is awesome. Those of us who've followed g40's for some years have known about this car and a bit of its history. There was a magazine cut out floating about somewhere of when it was handed over.

I sent a copy of the original magazine to the guy who owned it before you. Did you get that with it? It was either VW Motoring or VW Audi Car. It was only a short write up with no picture though. I've never seen anything else about it in print; I have one of the press launch G40's so I've collected just about every magazine that ever had anything about G40s in.

yes i got it with the car mate

I spotted one of the LHD ones in Worcester a while back, not got a clue where it is now. Obviously the RHD is much much rarer.

cant reveale that be alot less than its worth i think

I've spoke to the vw muesium and there sending me a conformation cetificate saying its car one 0f one.

I've also emailed the factory in spain who say it was the one and only righthand drive car made who miss collins won

from eastboure in the genesis tour competion in 1992 the rest of the cars were left hand drive.

Miss Collins? Blatant fix then.

Genesis rule purely for being 80s. And I think this colour is the same as some Corrado VR6s (can't remember the colour name now though)..I have a tin of 2 pack in it, though dunno what to use it on!
