The MOT was today and went well... needed a set of pads and a track rod end so pittance really :)

House hunting is hard though! May have to buy a cheap 6N or something !

Well the car now has:

New Front Pads

New Track Rod

and thanks to that 12 Months MOT :-D

Before this though, as the weather is turning and I don't fancy ruining my wheels when the gritters are out spreading the salt etc, dug out the trusty BBS wheels...

Went for 195/45 over the 195/50's and this has allowed no arch rubbing and extra lows sadly the sump and underneath has zero hospitality now

Like most... the VW centres had taken a battering and had seen brighter days....

Replaced them with these...

They arrived and had the VW markings on the rear and the same part number (which I can't understand)

Only measured the orignals and bought the first ones I found so pretty happy with these and the excellent fit :)

Sadly off with the D90's, doesn't look it but the car is hanging from the roads I use after 1-2 days

Couple wax coats

And stupidly lowered it another 5 turns, which isn't really winter friendly lol

Chris don't get a 6n! Seriously downgrading and will just cost you more and you'd hate it compared to your 6n2 gti! In the long run, selling it will give you more money temporarily..however a new car after moving will just cost you twice as much especially as you'd need to find a good base and then splash out getting it looking the way you want it again!

I hand on heart can say I have no idea about the SE, I assume not from factory but someone make be able to correct me on this, not fancy a GTi ha

The calipers I haven't put any thought into really, was just going to do them a non gloss black for a clean OE look, or redo them the in red like they came on the GTi... its just a bit dark and cold to do it recently I've found !

Next little touch was this, thanks to Neil for the reminder

Went to DVLA to get the paperwork completed for the number plate to come off... very dirty from the motorway...

Got back and cleaned it all up ready for it to come off the road, while the new buyer sorted out transportation, money etc

Raised the coilovers 15 turns all round, standard plates back on, dug out any spares I had, and a final wipe down and it wasn't long before the transport arrived

This was on the front, 4WD turbo Subaru on route from the Isle of Wight to Ireland lol?

And finally the last picture I will be posting of the little VW ..
