There toyo's and 195/45/16'...... This is going to sound so full of crap but I got stopped by the police today on the way home, the first time I've been stopped in years! I went round a roundabout and the front passenger wheel caught the arch BADLY and got stopped for it and asked to "rectify it" and next time they see my car they will be checking....

I wanted to go lower too how do some people have there's so low without catching

iv got 40s all round as the 45s cought and you could machine the front adaptors so they poke less quite easy really

edit: looked at the pics of your wheels again and you really could do with stretch on the tyres

Time to ebay a load of stuff and sell my ATS Cups I think.

Thought I seen your GTi for sale mate? Do it! The first polo I looked at was a silver one on diamond cut D90's! sadly it was a complete nail and wouldnt drop on the price :( happy I got this one though as i've "made it my own" if you like.

Must register my private plate soon as I reckon i'll keep it :)

Yeh, was for sale. Tis a keeper now... the gearbox is properly dead so having to shell out a few hundred to get that sorted next week but once thats done, she's 100% mechanically perfect again. Mint. So its just the pretty stuff to sort out... for which I've got an ever growing 'to do' list.

If you ever fancy getting shot of the wheels, let me know. I'll snap your arm off for them! Otherwise I'm going to have to do what Steph did with her Castellets or however you spell it. Maybe...

i think mine are 30s perfect width to arch face just the tyres i had to alter its not cheap but its all you can do really theres not really enough room for the bolts to machine off the adaptor

What is the ride like on a 40 Profile tyre stretched ?

I've got some 40's which are going to be stretched and I'm asuming my car is going to be a bone shaker ?

D90's are spot on I think, only other wheels i'd have are Ronal Turbo's, which most are dented or buckled or lacuqer damaged, or BBS splits but there too much $$$$$$$$ borbet a's or modernlines don't suit them so d90's it is for me!

Wider D90's with some nice stretch is where its at mate! the 6's have about as much stretch as set of bedford rascal van steelies

still many many threads left on the coilovers but would never drive that low, had to raise it 10 turns until I get a tyre sorted for that side :( lol

That's why i carry a steel in my wheel well instead of a space saver! Much closer to the 16s i have
