No matter when I update this you are the first to reply usually Neil  Don't know how you manage it but nice that your following it mate

what he said.

the little touches make all the difference. love it.

:-D

Heh this looks awesome

Like the oem parts, must be expensive though?

Those HID numberplate lights are crazy haha

I know someone who does parts at discounted prices so quite happy about it as I would never go to a main dealer if I could help it!

8-) hi

Replaced my front repeaters

SAM_1409.jpg

As my old ones had turned lifeless and brittle

DSC05956.jpg

As it was coming up near the retention renewal date, decided I would be keeping the Polo for a little while so registered my private plate :-)

Used my pressed UK font metal plates (The Legal ones)

SAM_1436.jpg

And changed my indicator bulbs from silvertechs to the bubble osram ones, note the mirrors are missing.... all is explained

SAM_1444.jpg

The joys of motoring.... Tax and bloody fuel prices :x

SAM_1415.jpg

DSC05964.jpg

Oh look, my mirrors! :-o

SAM_1417.jpg

SAM_1418.jpg

Sent them away to someone who is doing private work :-D here they are cooking just after resin

IMG_9524.jpg

So after layering, resin, lacquer and lots of shaping due to the awkward shape of them, finished!

Had to dremel a few bits underneath to get them to fit on again which felt so heart breaking lol :-(

Flat polished, waxed lots & fitted

I was a private job dude, don't think he would ever take on anything like that anyway! you would have to get them made up not layered. But there are people out there somewhere I bet, its just all about your budget etc I guess

Hello Club Polo!

My HEKO deflectors arrived, came all the way from Slovakia

SAM_1547.jpg

The tyres on the BBS were wearing a little low and I refused point blank to spend any money on them when I have a brand new full set ready and waiting for the D90's.

Bit of photo whoring in the sun as I haven't really illustrated the car itself much. Just ignore the wheels for now (the black ones are for sale if anyone is interested), still undecided on the rear lights though

For the last however long I have been talking about my Porsche wheels being re-done, earlier in this thread I got hold of 7 & 8J Porsche D90's to replace the 6J wrongness!

Got them in July last year  but the weather turned bad when I decided on the finish I was going for. But.... last week they went off for a full restoration and special finish 8-)

Thanks to BJV Engineering for their fantastic work. They have matched the silver brilliantly and have diamond cut everything that was possible as I asked for. I enjoy these muchly!

Box's :-D

SAM_1772.jpg

Inside the box's FTW!

SAM_1779.jpg

SAM_1781.jpg

BJV have put more effort than I expected into these

SAM_1785.jpg

SAM_1796.jpg

Firstly the 7J

SAM_1805.jpg

SAM_1808.jpg

And the 8J - Note the paint match and superb diamond cut work on the rims as well

SAM_1793.jpg

Overall look (minus the protection tape obviously lol)

Thanks for the approval here :-D I always like doing the "little bits" on my cars and usually making them next to new condition, but have gone quite far with this little one 8-)
