Since the service, I'm an extra 70 miles to a tank of fuel, thought it must have been a coincidence or something but every tank is doing it, I haven't changed my route or driving style ?!

So this months changes....

Some little BMX rida rude bwoyz, thought it would be funny to steal two of my valve caps leaving me with these again

Sent my boot badge off for some carbon, the bloke had to source another one as it went wrong, so was using a "cover up for a while"

And then the alternator out of the blue decided to give up and leave me with no electrics results in the Polo's first tow :(

Was getting a bit fed up by this point, but then the bloke sent me some pics of the boot badge

Got me motivated to get a few other bits up to scratch, starting with the alternator....

Took me a while to figure out you have to TIGHTEN the tensioner to loosen it! Good Design though :-)

Nice strong charging read outs again :)

Took my door to pieces to fix my window, was sounding liking a dying animal going up and would jump back down again! Lots of lubrication and grease etc, job jobbed! Broken the stupid Polo design door handle insert though, annoying lol

New grill tape, old stuff faded out

Fitted the badge and metal polished the wheels

Replaced the valve caps, got some Golf MK4 Anniversary kick plates, and fitted the delocked handles I had done the same time at the bumper smoothing a while back, finally!

The old drivers handle was still in poor shape from when I got the car as I planned to replace it that week

Gave the car a Meguiars Soft Wash in the sun :)

And as if there wasn't enough pictures already..... Wanted some at night with the wheels, so went and tried out my eBay tripod for the first time..... Didn't set the camera up so some are quite blurry and poor quality, but not bad for a point and shoot effort :)

Been looking for some for a while, (hope you don’t mind me using your pic just thought it would be easier than taking up loads of space quoting that whole post)

Also, how easy is it to take off the door handles? How do you do it? Want to replace mine with colour coded ones.

The door handles are easy as pie, open the door, remove the torx screw, slide handle forward, pull carefully from the central locking motor thing, then pull backwards to remove

The LED number plate units were off another forum but they were the guys last set he had so no idea were you can get them now bud
