on monday the 12th i had an accident.. I'm with churchill. the accident was not my fault but the bloke will not take responsibility.. he pulled from a junction into my rear wheel arch.. car has smoothing on sides boot and bonnet.. different grill.. it did have rh cups on and coilovers. . i managed to get the car home and have put standard suspension and wheels on before the person has come to inspect it ..I've not declared anything.. if i win the case will they pay out?

I dont see why they wont. Was there any witnesses??? If the damage is on your side of car then it shows that he hit you not vice versa!!

I got hit in the side on a roundabout. It wasnt my fault but it went 50/50 in the end as she said i was speeding....i said i wasnt. So it couldnt be proved either way.

Hope all works out ok. If he says there was mods deny it!! Its not there now and can only be proved if anyone else saw it and comes forward!!!

But he has taken full responsability, I'm wondering wether ill get payed out or not??

thanks.. I'm not sure if he got any photos and if so of what quality.. really hope they are going to pay out. still got some modifactions though like smoothing etc.. not had an assessor come out yet.. is there anything else i should do before they come and see it??

A girl crashed into my golf. I've got 18s on it and its lowered on coilovers. When the car went in to be assessed the insurance company called me up sayin my insurance was void as i hadnt informed them of the mods. I played the woman card sayin 'well theyve got vw in the middle how would i know they arent standard' and 'what are coilovers' ?? worked a treat plus i was in hospital about to give birth so i said this was all i fuckin needed. They said to me they would give me money to pay for the repairs but i would have to find somewhere to do the repairs. Fine by me cuz i know lots of places and could gain out of it!!! But the garage started the work so they had to finish it. So they paid for the bits standard and gave me a cheque to replace the springs and shocks and wheels. Standard ones cost £1500. so new coilovers where fitted costing 350. but the wheels where fine. i wouldnt worry about the body work. just tell them thats how u bought it so you dont know any different. Act innocent. And keep you are fingers and toes crossed :)

Got some standard wheels on the way and going to get a mate to raise the coilovers and say i just thought that it was standard suspension.

Fingers crossed the inspectors wont come out though as there no despute about whos fault it was

Whats happened with me is his insurance has been in touch and they have told me a garage that it will be going to, no mention of someone coming to look at my car or anything like that. Does this mean it should all go through ok or could it still go tits up?

yea i got the impression that if its the place they want to do it then they inspect it there.. i did see somewhere to talk to the garage and butter them up so they dont say anything.. people seemed to think it works quite alot.. I've still got no further with mine, been ringing the insurance every day.. think this is going to take some time..

Sorry to hear you had a accident, the smoothing on the side i would not worry about, unless the inspector no any different I don't think he/she will spot it.

nothing has happened with mine.. not even had an assessor come and see it.. have to wait up to 3 months to get the other party to admit fault.. bought a gti thats been hit as a project while I'm waiting..

After been messed about with date about when mine was going in it finally went in yesterday :)

hopefully to have it back friday or next monday, i know a lad that works at the place its gone to so hes keeping me informed about how far gone they are.
