This fault code is showing on my reader 00588 Air bag ignition circuit - drivers side - n95. Any ideas on what could be wrong or how to remedy? Thanks in advance Mark

lol didnt mean to come off as bein a dick, i just stuck it in quickly (distracts me from college work you see) and seemed to be a fair bit of things to try out :)

Guys my wife's 6N2 has also developed this error and clearing it just brings the error back up again..

Not had a chance to take anything apart yet and whilst there's lots of info on Google relating to other VAG's all pointing to the spiral ring/clockspring in the steering wheel - I haven't found anything specific to the Polo yet.

If anyone can help who has been through this problem, I'd really appreciate some guidance.
