Rennsport Polo mk2/3 Exhaust 4-1 Manifold

Featured Replies

I have for sale a couple of brand new Rennsport Polo mk2/3 Exhaust Manifold, its a 4-1.

Stainless steel construction, has same bore where the standard exhuast manifold meets the rest of the system.

This replaces the existing exhaust manifold and downpipe so acts as a de-cat.

Had one fitted to my Old mk3 GT, sounds nice and fits well, it turns a nice bluey/rainbow colour when hot!

£150 + £10 delivery each.

Exactly the same as the photo's here:

I got a good deal if I bought a few so selling them on at a small profit. Even tho it's £50 cheaper than anywhere else so you save some money, I make some, everyone wins..

Swapped the GT for a GTI.. I wanted comfort and electric gizmos!

Hey MrP,

I totally forgot about this sorry mate - we spoke a month or so about it. I'd have one off you like a shot but just want to find someone local to me who would weld on an oxygen sensor. Anyone know if the likes of KwikFit would do this and if so, how much? I'd do it myself but only have mild steel welding wire! :-(

Cheers,

Chris.

I got mine done at longlife, was £10 and literally took them 2 mins. It took longer waiting for it to cool down!

So any custom exhaust place will do it for you for about the same.

See Club Polo Group Buy

I'm interested so might put my name down on group buy but what will people do come m.o.t time? Its not just a decat pipe so ud have to take all manifold off and put standard manifold and cat back on for m.o.t :S ?

iirc, pre sept 1993 cars don't require a catalytic converter to pass an MOT. So all MK1 & 2's are fine, and this qualifies for most mk3's too. I'm fairly certain a lot of late mk3's have passed MOT's with these fitted as the MOT tester will just see it's an old car without a CAT and will test it pre-cat anyway.

mines a 1994 cl ... i see what u mean but bit ofa risk ill have a think about it and post on the group thread if so, cheers

Fair play mate,

I'm not going to lie either, its a pain in the arse to fit and re-fit too.

If you decide to go ahead let me know.

Rich.

  • 2 weeks later...
