Alfa 147 leather in a 6n

Featured Replies

so thursday i got about fitting the seats i bought off Matt.G on here.

thursday morning i went and picked up these standard 6n seats to use as donors

within an hour, they looked like this:

with plenty of head scratching and cutting, we ended up with this:

once happy, we wrapped the seats in welding blankets and welded [the water bottles to cool the welds down]

once welded, in they went:

as i was 9 at night by the time we got them in and we were having a few problems with bolting the passenger seat in [bottom of the seat was catching the floor] i left it unbolted until saturday when i had more time to do them.

yesterday we took the passenger seat out, ground the welds off and rewelded them in a better place.

the rear seats have gone to a trimmer at CMC [Classic Motor Company, a top Jag specialist] I'm having the leather taken off the Alfas and put onto the Polo rears to make it much easier to get them in.

so these are pictures i took yesterday of them all bolted in place.

and this is what I'm left with while I'm waiting for the back seats haha:

let me know what you reckon.

I've never seen another 6n with these seats before and i just want to say a big thanks to Matt.G for the seats and his cooperation with the sale of them...he knows what i mean by that.

Great Job You may be able to help me!

I just bought these, kinda by mistake to go into a 6N2 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...IT#ht_500wt_749

They look very similar, any advice and help you can give me before hand would be much appreciated as I dont have donor seats, I'm going to have to use my current runners and such, and make sure I can do the job in the day so the car remains drivable.

Cheers

ye man, they got to me fine...took up abit of space for a week or so, but there out the way now lol.

one down side is that my dopey brother decided to help out and dropped one of them, luckily they were still wrapped up and didnt damage them, but that was beyond the point.

he breaked himself when he saw me watch him drop it lol.

the fabric on the front and rear door cards are going black to match the rooflining and pillar covers.

atleast now you have a few pictures to use as a guide line to what you need to do and someone you can get in touch with if you hit a hurdle.

Not too keen, they look like they slope inwards from behind or is that just me, now you need to do the door cars stick gaitor and so on mucka

the rest of the interior is either staying or going black, the seats are just something to compliment the wheels.

they werent easy, but with plenty of tea, ciggys and head scratching you get there eventually.

Dans the hardest critic to please, but without causing offense...I'm not trying to please. I'm doing what i want and how i want to my own car.
