will these wheels fit?

Featured Replies

I've seen some wheels I like and I'm ready to buy them.

I understand offsets etc, but would like to confirm that the wheels will fit.

The wheels I want to buy are 7.5j 15" wheels ET30.

My current wheels are 6.5j 15" et 35 and are mighty close to touching the coilovers.

I have a 6n2.

Also I've had a look on tyrestretch.com and was just wondering what tyres people would safely recomend for these wheels.

Thanks for the help.

Doesn't look good,does it.

The et of the new wheel takes it 5mm further away, but then its back in by half an inch. And that's more than 5mm,so the rim will be even closer to the coilover.

You dont say exactly how close it is currently, but it looks like you'll need et25.

Is the issue just the rim or tyre? Its just that any stretch will help the tyre clear.

I don't undertand how peoples wheels are really close to coilovers there alot smaller than standard setups? Could you have some camber issues??? That may help? But if not then you 7.5 is gonna come 18mm more towards the arch side and it's going to give you 8mm less clearance on the inside!! Try them if there's any problems 9mm/10mm (never seen 8mm spacers dunno if there made) spacers would do it but they will put an extra 1/2mm on the arch side!

As for tyres I've seen 225s and 215s on a 7.5j but these are wide/correctly fitting tyres if your feeling clearance issues might be on the cards 195 would be ok and would give plenty of extra clearance or 205s would give you some. But 185s and 165s will probably be more on the mad as a box of frogs end!

should go on easy enough. If they touch, space em a bit. 185/45's, or even 195/45 if it aint mega low.

Rang the distributor and they will go on apparently, and come with 195 45 15 tyres.

I also have a full set of 5mm spacers, and the car has coilovers so i should be able to adjust to suit.

Thanks for the help guys
