iv got a mk3 polo 1993

first of all my horn was working but only when i tapped the middle of steering wheel it would js mek a lil bit of a honk

now its just totally ad enuff

iv checked my fuse and changed it and still nuffin

i turned my ignition on and a bit of smoke came out the black casing where the hazards am

so now iv taken the steeting wheel and casing off and iv checked all the wires and everything is ok including all connectors

Halfords do air horns that are easy enough to wire up if you get stuck for a fix :)

Test the horn direct against the battery. If its dead,get another. If not,test the circuit to find the fault (or get someone competent and able,if you cant).

If you get one from a breakers,try and get one with the same connections or cut the wires and take the connectors with it.

i had this problem i ended up a having a crap earth on the horn so just clean the plates the horn bolts to an have another go you might also need to try a different horn
