you should declare them mate, it depends on what insurance company you are with? best to ring up and find out before you fit them pal

Moved to the paperwork section.

well if you're under 21 with direct line, you're fooked!

I would declare them if i was you.

Another declaring thread - really? Just declare everything.

Is 21 the age limit on mods with direct line?

Declare them, it's not worth not declaring. If you cause an accident you're 99% definitely fooked!

Is 21 the age limit on mods with direct line?

When i was with them a year and a half ago it was yeah

Just declare all. I renewed my insurance today, they offered me £500 quid with my mods declared. I added a few more mods on and it didnt change.

If you don't it may come back and kick you in the ass.

My mates just been handed 6 points fine and lost his licence for not declaring mods cause its effectivly driving without insurance.

Yes, always declare mods though this wouldn't affect our premiums on the insurance scheme.

This will depend on which modification you have or are thinking about. Many cosmetic alterations, such as alloy wheels, or bodykits, may not affect the premium. Any modifications which may affect the performance of the vehicle are more likely to affect the price you pay. Incorrect information could invalidate all or part of your policy. Why not get a quote online, or for certain modifications, you will need to call us on 0845 850 0845 to get your quote. Remember to have all modifications completed at a professional garage, and that you have a valid MOT on your modified vehicle.

thats mine i have my coilies and am fitting them tomorrow and going to ring quinn tomorrow , i hope they dont do me over :(!

They were lowering springs and some shitty induction kit that thought would help him tear up the tarmac. and it was just a routine stop and they were checking his tyres n saw them and the rest is history

ouch gutted, and most people here think the popo wont be able to tell if you run springs because they look more standard than coilies.. a chilling tale you have to tell lol

modifications with most every day companies is 25. if your younger than that then your pretty much screwed. I'm with brent acre and have just put my coilies on. any cosmetic mods wont affect your premium, and there isnt even a admin charge for changing your policy!

Yeah with mine (quinn) wheels cost nothing to declare, lowering costs 350 and exhaust is 150 which isnt TOO bad considering I'm 18 with no NCB. and yeah i do feel bad for him but then again without a modified car my little 1.0l AX kicks its ass lol
