what a fucking prick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

"The Home Office is testing the cameras at two sites, one in Southwark, London, and the other A374 between Antony and Torpoint in Cornwall"

Screwing if you live around there haha

Dimz

That second road between Anthony and Torpoint will catch so many people, it's a big open road easy to creep over the limit without really noticing. Money making is all it is!

 idiot! He'll have that stupid smile wiped off his face when his party get kicked out of office at election time. Suck my balls.

On another note: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=21830

That's the same story on PH, but as stated there it's not known when it'll come into force... if ever!

Going to need a bloody big box to cover up that thing!!

(The satelite not Gordon Browns head, although both would require similar sized boxes)

i am sure we can just kick up a stink about human rights like what was done for speed camera's :D but then again those bastards just painted them yellow to get out of it :(

so thats what all our road tax has gone on..... space cameras!

and this is why you should be voting tory, the only one of the big 3 that oppose speed cameras and want to end this big brother style socioty we are living in.

Cameron would just spend all our taxes on makeup for his next election campaign poster.

rather guyliner than speed cameras

Road Tax being spent on space cameras when there are a thousand potholes and speedhumps screwing up everyones cars.

The safety of your driving shouldnt be measured on speed. Just a big cash cow. Disgusting

wait, isn't this good for dubbers?

'It could also reduce the need for speed humps.'

on a more serious note, tbh while yes its stupid, a massive waste of time and money, and highly unfair, this is Britain. we've been doing stupid things like this since the dawn of time. you really expect anything less from any other political party? we're just gonna have to get over the fact that everything is going down the pan. as our fathers did, and their fathers etc etc. if we want better technologies that make it easier to do stuff without thinking, we're going to have to get used to the fact people are going to get stupider as a result of not having to think.

If we had that then I wouldnt have a liscence. You would have to fit my car with a speed limiter to sort me out, I can hover around the speed limit, sometimes going slower, sometimes going faster, but to drive everywhere without exceeding it I would have to put 50% of my concentration into watching my speedo. I would crash sooner or later.

a good point very well made.

i think that would be true for most of us tommo, you can't stick exactly to the speed limit without constantly looking down at the speedo, the more time you spend looking at the speedo the less time you spend looking at the road.

Besides people still have acciedents while travaling within the speed limit, most of the time because they are not concentrating on the road ahead...

it says it reduces the need for speed bumps so i'm all in favour!

do you really think their gonna spend money ripping up speed humps?

no but my car does a pretty good job :) and it means they wont lay more

i don't think they could lay any more if they wanted too. I can't think of many non A or B roads in Nuneaton that arn't over run with them tbh.

ahh bad luck dude, near me they are only really in places you dont go like housing estates. the only place i encounter them is coming into carparks.

Not sure i totally beleive that would work, how the fuck is a satellite going to recognise your numberplate and take pictures of your face through thick cloud? Or from above the car, unless someone is going to go around sticking number plates on our roofs!

Pretty sure that unless they install a chip in every car on the road or the camera is in exactly the right place at the right time pointing in the right direction it wont work?

I cant be the only one who thinks this surely!!

I think whats more important is...WTF were you doing reading the Telegraph mate.
