thanx guys lol

honestly, these really look something else in the flesh - the design is timeless but not worn out yet

if i had a base vehicle for them i would definitely keep them, if i had more money i would go buy a mk1 just for the wheel - hmm actually i wonder what's the tag on a mk1 with collies nowdays

if i hadnt just got some rims worth around the same as these i wudda had them!

Bump for some sweet rare rimz : )

shame about the poor quality painting, otherwise sweet rims

whats wrong with the quality of the painting?

That is the intended finish - TEXTURED black

Its not meant to be smooth or glossy, but look contrasting to the polished dish.

It resembles the similar finish to what is found on vw range abs plastics on cars such as mk1/mk2 golfs - like on the arches, sideskirts and door trims

It actually looks a bit deeper purely because its painted on metal

I assure you it looks hard as nails

Whats happened to the other set of wheels? :ninja:

The extra set up is still here. If you are interested in buying the complete set up for extra cost i can supply the remaining pieces. Bare in mind some of pieces i would class as unsalvageable:

- All the original fasteners (bolts + washer etc) are useless as they were corroded, so are in a bag ready to be given to a metal recycling plant. But if someone wanted them they can have them for free with the wheels as i will never use them (nor would i recommend using them.

- Some original barrels and dishes are damaged/bent/corroded. There are pieces here that could be repaired. I did want to keep the useable bits incase I get the opportunity to build another set up for my self to keep when funds allow (currently need to finish my vr6 turbo project, - hence why I am selling many items on other forums). However for the right money these can also be had

The set up for sale is complete - nothing needs doing to them. They have been built with carefull planning to be durable with high quality fasteners

To build another set of wheels like this in my experience is very difficult, it has taken lots of effort to build and lots of waiting and searching for bits to come up for sale to make a perfect complete set.

If anyone feels as though they can do a better job for less money that is fine - please go ahead. However if you want to purchase my set up and have any questions either ring me or pm me.

shame about the funds, i have the same problem lol otherwise they wouldn't be up for sale. But with regards to fitting them to a mk2, they could look awesome with the wide dishes in the link
