Currently my insurance (fully comp in my name) doesnt allow mods so I wasa thinking of going on thr mothers insurance.

However as I'm off to uni I would onli use the car during the holidays, so probably as much as a secondary drive should be allowed, and my mum wudnt drive it at all, so technically thats not illegal is it?

well, i know allot of people who drive daily under their mum/dads insurance (as I'm still in college)... i wouldnt worry about it, i know its technically not allowed but i really dont see how they can prove it in any way.

yeah well tbh if you weigh up the cost and risk you get a far better deal just going on the folks insurance :-)

The only time I've heard of it happening was my mate the other week, he had the car in his name on the log book and the insurance in his mum's, write off, refused to pay due to fronting.

My car is in my dad's name ( so he's the legal owner ) as he bought it for me.

The insurance is in my dad's name also, with me being the second driver.

They won't, unless the car is under some sort of surveillance!

The only thing insurance companies are doing to combat this is by not offering as much discount for second drivers.

I even got pulled over by the Police.

On three seperate occasions they asked, "so is the car insured under your name?" I respond, "no, my parent's"

They respond, "oh is that for the cheaper insurance?" I respond, "yes it is"

They respond, "don't blame you it's a killer these days, all sorted you can get on your way now"

There isn't much going on in Yorkshire in terms of dubs so I have to get to as many as I can.

Here we have DubClub and Skooldropouts meets all the time. There's a meet every week and they're huge! Wish there was something a bit like that back home!
