I've just joined the forum. Lots of information on polos on the site, great site :)

I'm a first time polo owner, w'll bought it for my other half. It's her 1st car, so to save on insurance we've been forced to get an older model. Its an R reg, 1.6 auto (petrol), think it's mk3 (not sure). She's geting used to the car and loves it. Although it's an R reg, it's only done 23K so far. We'll mainly se it for school runs and running short distances.

The other car in the family is a trusty old merc estate (ban?). It does the long trips etc with junior and stuff we have to cart around for him.

I have a question on servicing - we live in milton keynes, is there a local indy garage that people here would recommend?

I cant recommend any garages to you as I'm from Oxford, but i can tell yo that if its an 'R'reg then its a mk4 polo, although if you get anything straight from VW they reference it as a mk3!

Must admit, I do love driving it, but prefer a manual. We had to get an auto as the other half only has an auto licence :(
