Hi folks. Complete newb to VWs as I've been into Minis all my life (see avatar....) But the Minis going off the road now, as its looking rough, for a full rebuild/resto. So in the mean time I've got myself a tidy little 6n2 to scoot about in. Drives well and had a new reconditioned gearbox put in it 4 months ago.

haven't got any other pics than supplied by the seller as I'm picking it up this Sunday hopefully.

Got a few GTi bits on it as you can see. Going to keep it like it is atm as being a student I cant afford to mod 2 cars at the same time But might get the rub strips colour coded. Will see what funds I have.

Oh and a pic of my pride and joy. Something a bit different for a first car I think you will agree.

The colour is original Rover Cranberry Red. Pretty rare colour as I've yet to find another one with it. Not a massive fan of the wheels but better than trims I suppose

Yea sorry, they're the polo colour concept ones, the golf colour concept are the same as the GTI ones but bigger :)

Tidy looking Polo. Don't see the colour concept BBS alloys all that often. I had a Mini as a first car too, a 1989 Flame Red complete with the original white roof and white wheel trims. Yours looks really clean

Cheers mate! Feels so dam weird having power steering, ABS, CD changer, electric mirrors, fuel injection, ciggy lighter, tip meter etc Used to no creature comforts in the mini so this is luxury! All I want for it is a set of coilovers to get it sitting right as I have a reputation for loooooow cars and this isnt helping me at all haha!

Wheels are a bit tatty but nothing a quick grind and repaint/powdercoat wont sort out. :) I'm over the moon with it!
