i tryed just starting it but it says my username was already in use well dur by me lol so is there a way i can just upgrade this account or do i have to reinvent myself ???

iirc, you have to have a new name but in admin CP, the admins can change it. (i know this because i have a forum from the same company as clubpolo uses)

Give a mod a PM mate, try Yeti, if he can't sort it he'll point you in the right direction.

Just sign up with a different name and let me know what it is and your email address.
