Well i have had a fair fe dubbers help me out in the past but I'm fully buzzing today as a mate is doing the best thing in the world for me ..

I am welding , smoothing & prepping his car for paint and he in return is buying me some nice new wheels ..

why should ALL dubbers help?

i dont mind helping anyone IF they can help themselves otherwise theres no point in wasting your time and energy as your otherwise your being used as a free resource for something that should cost you alot of money for skilled work.

I gotta say its the other way round for me.

I love people who I offer help to comming round with a crate of beer, feeding me tea and biscuits all day and still giving me a tenner for my time at the end of it.

Most people are safe as and good to chat to and i only do jobs i wanna do so payment is a bonus

Disagree, you will just get noobs abusing this i reckon.

I Guess its up to you if you post up that your wanting to help people. but i know i defiantly wouldn't Because i can just imagine so many people asking you to 'do' stuff for them rather than 'help' them with a job.

I live in Bedworth so if anybody in warwickshire needs a HELPING HAND with any welding, body work, painting or just basic mechanics then give me a shout

I consider myself one of the rare few that actually enjoy helping people and dont mind getting grubby for fun.

It's also a good way to have a bit of banter and make friends.

Strongly agree with this.

There's loads of sound people out there who are willing to help for the enjoyment, but as said above, if the person can't help themself, it's not enjoyable and just abusing the person's good nature.

Surely you should pick people to help, rather than letting someone pick you and possibly just be a pain in the arse.

Just to add, Gozzard-Coupe and Grungeisdead have both given me good advice in the past and have been really approachable, along with many others on this forum.

Yea me and gozzard-coupe have had a few chats and hes given me bare invaluble information to help me with my build and head upgrade. Not really spoken to grungeisdead but all I hear is positives about his help.

Saf has halped me loads in the past so has Charlie , Karl_ClCoupe & Yeti back then i was a bit less hands on and now fully understand what its like when your "helping" someone but really putting all the effort in yourself .. To be honest back then it was a confidence thing for me and the best way i learnt was by just throwing myself at the task's set for myself .

I must thenk you guys though cos u kick ass and my car wouldnt be the way it is now iff it wasnt for you

Takes a goog few days to prep properly iff you want a absolutly mint job , I can show you how i would do it on a panal or so and leave you to it , Reasonably easy you just need an attention to detail and to be patient :)

As B-Shaw says noobs will abuse this, but the worst that can happen is someone sends you a PM and you just ignore or respond saying No.
