i love them roofs :) a lad down my way organised a small dub meet down the local skatepark and a properly slammed beetle and a beach buggy turned up. the buggy had huge back tyres and everything, was awesome. what wheels are those? they look like revolution 5 spokes

My old 66, sadly mine no longer!

^^ I saw one yesterday, had that ridge down the engine lid,i figured it early '60s then but it didn't have an oval window.

Was light bronze and looked great riding at sensible height with nice alloys in a sensible size,no narrowed beam or big camber etc..

I'v got 1970 hustler gt buggy in bits in my garage

is that a thing i see? as a former off roader i would love to try jack one up and hit the mud!

1962 was A plate so I guess that D plate is 1966? Think earlier ones has oval windows and even earlier ones had split oval windows.

Those boot lids are quite readily available to put on later cars though

Walsh - love your rag top :)

I used to drive both of these round:

It was those two that got me into dubs fullstop!

Oh.

Beetles had split windows up til 1952 (some until 53) then had ovals til around 1958. then they had big windows. In 1964 side windows became about an inch larger.

In 1967 the headlamps changed from sloped to upright.

Sorry for my geekiness.

That's sort of the plan, I'll see how it sits onec the other rear turns up (aparently there is a shortage of 9.5-30-15s) and the arches are done. Everyone is slamming them and I tend to be different to everyone else.

My bus,its a 62 15 window,

I knew someone would tell the whole story. I had a obsession between 2006 and 2008 but always preferred campers so knew more about campers then bugs!

Has this been too many shows in the past 5yrs? Looks familiar + 15 window splits were always my fave :) Keep telling the boyf we need one but he doesnt seem too convinced!

Awesome dude, that's a proper minter!

At least you know it's going to be looked after properly, even if it's maybe not driven that much 8-) Would be a shame if it was wasted and left to rot as most of them seem to do :(

aircooled ride isnt a aircooled ride with out rot :p
