Sure my brothers got a complete mk2 golf sunroof/mech full shebang in the garage here in Walsall, i'll give him a shout, see what money he wants for it. I'm sure they are all the same of that era.

Ok nice one Rich, sorry i never got in touch today, was abit busy in the end. I'll defo have it for this weekend though if thats sweet!?

No worries mate, was a bit of an odd day weather wise anyway. Just trying to remember if it was an electric sunroof or normal, cant get hold of my brother at the minute, which 'mechanism' part are you after? the bit that the sunroof winder screws too, or the sliders? I'll try to get hold of him again in a minute. But when i find out. I'll PM you.

Its a manually operated sliding roof, i need the sliders. From what i can see and not having one out yet there's 2 long springs which help operate the sliding motion, 1 side i have it, the others either snapped or not there for some reason.

To be honest Brett, i'm being a dick thinking of the electric one!! I'm sure i've got an old MK1 golf one myself, which was a hand winder. So i'll have a check tomorrow, and if its any good to you, its yours.

Awesome mate!

Got a mk3 polo one in Derby/Nottingham if you still need it. I quite often go to Midsdubclub meets, so could bring it to one of them?
