Mk2 Polo Bread Van *SOLD*

Featured Replies

For sale I have my lovely 1988 'E' Reg Mk 2 Polo Bread Van 1.0 litre, finished in Atlas Grey. Unfortunately has to go to make room for a new car :(.

I am located in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, GL8 8RG.

She has covered 114,000 miles. She is MOT'd until December 3rd 2010, Tax until November 30th 2010. I first bought the car in March 2009 from another member of the forum, the head gasket was changed the previous owner as was the fuel tank. Since owning the car I have bought a new sun roof as the old one leaked, this sunroof cost me £250 and I still have the invoice for it, The brakes have been changed 2 weeks ago for brand new discs and pads at the front. I changed the alternator belt, camshaft oil seal, rocker cover gasket, clutch cable, oil, oil pressure switch, spark plugs, oil filter and air filter at the beggining of this year, also it has had various new hoses fitted due to wear and tear. I have invoices from some of the work I have had carried out on the car.

This car has started on the key first time, everytime and has never broken down. Very reliable car. I am currently 19 years old, but I was 17 when I bought the car. The insurance was very reasonable, and the tax is low too. I'm sure this can make a brilliant first car. Obviously, with any car this age, there are a few small scratches and dents, but nothing major or of real importance.

Extras:

£250 Sunroof with Blinds

40mm Lowering Springs,

Genesis Interior,

Early Mk2 Golf GTI steering wheel with 4 Horn Buttons :)

Pressed Number Plates

Coupé S Arches and Splitter

Twin Head Light Grille (This didn't come with the car as standard, I fitted the grille and the Foglights on the inside of the grille are currently wired to mainbeam)

Various spares included such as:

Door cards,

Boot Spoiler,

Standard Grill (No Foglights)

And other parts

When I bought the car, it had only been lowered 40mm at the front, so I bought a new lowering spring set and the back is now lowered 40mm also, I still have the front springs that came in this kit too. It has LEGAL pressed plates and surrounds which I bought from the Dubmeister stall at Ultimate Dubz, I also still have the original plates.

These are images of how the car is currently:

Unfortunately I have damaged the drivers side front doorcard by leaning on it :( as mentioned, a spare set of doorcards is included, I just haven't got round to fitting them. Here is the damage:

If anyone would like to know more about the car, please comment and I will get back to you as soon as i can.

Dan.
