I have found the paint code for my car, on the left but i'm not sure if its easy to rattle can for a good finish.

Also i've heard of people that buy the paint but it still doesn't match.

Does anyoe have any experience spraying this colour on their polos, cam you reccomend where to buy a rattle can to test it etc

best thing to do is go to a bodyshop and ask if they can mix you some up.

Yeah ask where your local bodyshop gets their paints from, majority in my area get it from express paints, just take your fuel filler cap as well as your paint code, this way u can see if your paint has weathered alot to notice a difference, reds and yellows are the biggest nightmare to match up imo.

You want to get a 2K 2 pack paint, much more durable, but this wont last for very long once mixed in a rattle can so get it mixed and do it within 24 hours for best results. Also get a bucket of hot water and put the can into it this thins the paint and make sure u shake shake shake it!

Then preperation is the absolute key, look into it 90% of it is all prep.

Then dustcoat it

Then hit it

Then laquer it with a anti-scratch 2k laquer.

that seems like so much hassle.

how about this then, if i did all the prep work myself etc, how much do you think it would cost for a door and wing to be sprayed???

how come you have to get the whole side blasted, its a wing and a door so couldn't it just get done separately??? Trouble is the car isn't worth 300 hundred pounds so thats why i'm just gonna have to search the breaking section everyday until something comes around lol.

if you had brought the car to me mate thats what i would do purely for the fact to match the colour in but if you do the door and the wing the back ends will be a different shade new colour and old colour so any half decent place is going to blend the paint in to the rear quater as well but i am sure you will be fine buddy keep the look out you might find one in the same colour.

oh I see, yeah too bad your so far away really, i'll keep my eye out for a bit longer then.
