Hi guys

Just a couple of questions about valve clearance and adjustment.

1) is there a guide in how to adjust them (for a Mk4 polo), I have look but not found anything (I found guides for other cars)

2) What should be the gap of the valves on a hot or cold engine (for a Mk4 polo).

The answer to the second or both questions will be appreciated.

valves as in inlet and exhaust valves? There is no adjustment, they use hydraulic tappits which are self-adjusting.

really???? ohh I just bought a set of feeler gauges to check the clearance. I would have thought that all cars would need to have the valves adjusted once every so often. :S

yeah, you deffo don't need to adjust them at all on a mk4, they all use hydraulic lifters which self adjust
