Hello every one :)

i am new and thought i would make a progress thread for my polo.

well i have only just got the polo, only had it about 2 months, its a 6n2 1.4 16v.

i had a corsa C befor but wanted a change.

this is my old car:

i spent a lot of time and money to make my corsa look like that.

so here is the new car, this is how it looked when i got it:

then the moddin started :p

i got my self a GTI upper grille and fittted it:

then got a bonnet bra:

next i took the badges off the back:

so now the front looked like this:

wanted it to look different so i got all the GTI lower grilles to match the top one and also fitted a GTI splitter:

so next on my list was I.C.E. i got all this to fit it the polo:

i took it to a shop called Source Sounds to have it all professionally fitted.

then i wanted the car to have a better sound to it so i had a Corbra back box fitted, i had it hid away as i didnt want a tail pipe. had it fitted by ExhaustUK.

sounds reallllly good, not to loud aswel, just give a nice sound.

then i was lookin at other polo's on here and saw some one had sprayed inside the front badge, i really liked it so i did mine red:

fitted it in the rain:

next it was time for some wind deflectors:

so now it looked like this:

now it was time for some new alloys, there was loads i wanted but then i found some Porsche Teledials

went to manchester to get them from jay, thanks again jay :)

so i got them fitted:

so now this is how my car looks 2day:

well thats it for now.

Little update - 03 may 2010

So here is a little update, took the GTI badge off the front:

Also a quick pic of the sound system:

Plans:

*lower it about 60mm ish on supersport suspension kit

*have front bumper strip re-sprayed

*maybe have a black roof

i only use the bra when drivin far to stop stone chips on the bonnet.

car will be lower soon, looks like a monster truck :p haha

when i fitted the top grille i forgot to take the badge off, just never got round to doin it tbh.

Polo is nice mate, but i'd take the GTI badge off as pretending to be something it's not is fail.

Update!

Another little update.

well other week i was washin car with the jet wash and i kinda blew the badge off the back so i thought while it was off i would spray it like the front one to see what it looks like, so here is a pic:

Also i had a pipercross air filter fitted, sounds reallllly good.

I got it off "MrP" (rich) who also fitted it for me and he also sorted my clutch out as i couldnt get it into reverse.

Would just like to say big thanks to rich again :p

The polo should be lowered at the end of the month aswel, cant wait.

BUT some one 2day stole one of my centre caps :( was well mad.

the car will be lowered at the end of the month.

just another little update.

i painted all my brakes this week.

did the fronts first.

they looked like this:

then did the back ones.

thats it for now, next mod is coilovers :p

BIG UP DATE!!

well not updated it for a while, so here are some updates.

i got a new engine cover:

also took the front bumper strip off to re-spray it as it was a little chipped.

But the best thing is i have coilovers now! so my car is now low low low :p

i have also done some stuff to the inside of the car but dont have any pics:(

i have had my roof lining done in black and sprayed the A, B & C pillars black.

thats it for now.

next mods:

new headlamps, angel eyes or gti ones.

out side roof done in gloss black.

if you take the rear badge off the back it all pulls apart, so like the silver trim bit pulls off so you can spray the centres and then stick the silver trim bit back on if you get me?

well as soon as i saw teledials i fell in love with them so had to get my self a set :p

i got the gti front splitter from VW, cost around £50 new, but have a look on ebay or try scrap yards for a 2nd hand one.

also you mentioned getting lower gti grills to match your upper one, I never knew they existed..only seen the diamond shape or foglights with the honeycomb

the splitter has two screws in it, one at each side, once you have took them off it kinda pulls off, took me about half an hour to pull the thing off.

and yes i got all lower GTI grilles, the GTI ones are honeycomb, then standard ones are just them diamond ones.

i just went to VW and got a GTI splitter and all lower GTI grilles.
