Don't know what cheap coilovers to go for.

JOM coilovers

Hottuning Coilovers

Philj Coilovers

Please would u give me the good and bad facts of each of the coilovers above.

And what you would choose out of the above

i've only had raceland but rate them highly for the price u pay. can offer the guy selling them 150 and he'll accept.

Ta technix/philj

cons were, Hard, unforgiving and sometime dangerous (because of the hardness cornering on a unpredicatble surface threw me out a few times)

pros were, seemed to be made very well, go very low, id say the c spanners are better quality than the ones for

my fks that bend when I touch them

I've been running JOM on my 6n2 for about 1-2 days now, seem really good quality for the price (£170).

But they dont give as much lowerage as TAs or Raceland.

Fronts 20mm-100mm

Rears 20mm-80mm

my rears are wound all the way down on the jom, and its pretty low/stiff, if you want it even lower oldfield, take the helpers out. windeing the fronts all the way down will have your front bumper sitting on the floor on anything less than 15s

Well yeah if you take the helpers out on any you can get lower.

And when i fitted mine it was winded all the way down and you right, the bumper nearly touches the floor.

So would u say that all three have same ride quality, which one has the best ride?

Also Will taking out the helpers reduce the ride quality?

So to be honest for me it's out of hottuning or JOM coz philj collies price have gone up

But if u guys say the rides better with philj I might consider them.

there all the same crap ride quality imho and as far as people can tell just rebranded, try sentral on the traders classified section of the site, or try www.unit3tuning.co.uk they both cheaper than philjs iirc,

Yes! i had to refit mine as it was just dangerously stiff!

although even with the helpers refitted i still have about 1 1/2 inches left to go down on the threads on the back of my loon and they're more than low enough (exhaust is about 2 inches from the floor)

Just checking are raceland coilovers the hottuning ones off eBay? LOL

anyway I may not consider the JOM ones as you can only go 80mm down on the back.

Now people why coilovers shall I consider our of hottuning or ta technix coilovers

Yea there ta technix! Great for really low tho!!

I got my TA Technix from unit3tuning, really fast delivery and the guy is really helpful.

My Polo is on its hoop and still had about an inch and a half on the threads.

The ride is really firm, but I'm not bothered, i just wanted cheap lows :)

yeah i think they're good but i havnt had any others to compare them to tbh

bit bumpy but they go low so thats all good!

its alot better than standard. front end sticks to the ground like glue when cornering, back can be a bit unpredictable on bumpy roads at speed but they're fine as long as you're not trying to corner at stupid speeds.

I've still gotta get my camber and tracking done so I'm thinking that will make it alot better as well. but overall I've been very happy with them and i drive about 30 miles everyday

also offer the bloke 150 and he'll accept. i couldnt refuse them for 150 new as used ones go for over 100 and at least when they're new u can grease em up and know that they have never been used before
