I bought the car back in sept last year and its has been a great car. I bought it with 160,000 on the clock and drove it till it got to 170,000 miles and the engine overheated and died.

I took it upon myself to change the engine as it was a good car for it age and it was to good to scrap. So i sourced a engine with 64,000 miles out of a 2000 Reg 4 door GTI on the internet and went to pick it up.

Whilst the engine was out i done the following

New timing belt

New timing tensioner

New water pump

New oil filter

Fresh oil

I also replaced the "Oil pick-up" in the sump as my local dealer told me to change it as they are very common to get blocked after 100,000 miles This engine has only done 64,000 miles but i thought id change it whilst the engine was out as it was eaiser.

The car is a Gti so it has the following :

Full blue/black cloth recaro's

Air Con

Climate Control

6 Disc CD Changer

I have the orignal 2 keys aswell and a service history up to 131,000 miles from VW dealers in my local area

The car went for a MOT on Monday and it needed the following parts

2 new rear shocks

2 new rear springs

2 wiper blades

Driver side track rod end.

Thease bits have naw been replaced and it went through the MOT today and it passed with flying colours so it naw has 12months MOT on it !

I have no use for the car as my company have kindly given me one hence the sale and NO tax on the car as you can see by the car its not been tampered with in any way or modified

Bad points :

It has a dent in the drivers wing which was done before i purchased the car.

The car has the usual chips and scratches on the front end due to the milliage.
