polo coupe and mk3 golf inlet mod

Featured Replies

I'm looking at doing the mk3 golf inlet pipe mod on my 1.3 AAV engine in order to use a decent induction setup..

my questions are.. can i block off and get rid of the shitty air flow meter on my standard set up and does any one have any mk3 golf inlet pipes for sale as i cant find one else where???

If you mean the bit where the cold feed and exhaust hot air feeds meet that's not an air flow meter, it's a vacuum-controlled flap which switches between the two. There's a valve in the air filter housing which "switches" the vacuum to it at the right temperatures. As long as you block the vacuum pipe you should be ok without it!

arr happy days mate! i feel like right tit now. i always thought it was a cheap nasty air flow haha!! thats made this process feel alot better for me now!!! cheers matey
