I'm selling the full kit you need to convert an AFH to bike carbs. This includes:

cbr600 carbs

air filters

facet fuel pump

throttle cable

throttle adjuster linkage

weber throttle pedal block

mk2 vacuum advance distributor

mk2 coil

mk2 ignition amp

mk2 ignition wiring loom

afh inlet manifold

this lot owes me just over £300, so am looking for £230 collected. can deliver at cost. cheers

Has this been set up already (jets etc) i.e. could I just bolt everything on and it would work?

they could do with being jetted to suit your car once everything is bolted together to get it 100%. they are jetted with 135 on the outside jets and 138 on the main jets iirc. i know saf has been running cbr600 carbs on his afh mk2 for a couple of months on standard jetting with no problems though.

even if they were jetted for tez's engine, they would ideally need setting up on your particular engine, two identical engines will most likely need the carbs fettling with even if they were running absolutely spot on, on one of the engines

and 230 collected is cheap considering the sum of the component parts, the inlet manifold is one of the best homebrews, designed using the original afh inlet manifold flange, so is perfectly port matched on the inlet side, and perfectly spaced for cbr600 carbs. it was the prototype i used to supply my engine builder with to produce the items in stainless steel for the group buy

cbr600 carbs - 40 to 80 quid 2nd hand

air filters - 60 quid for a set of 4 new

facet fuel pump - 25 quid new

throttle cable - 10 quid new

throttle adjuster linkage - 2.99 new

weber throttle pedal block - 12.99 new

50 quid for below

mk2 vacuum advance distributor

mk2 coil

mk2 ignition amp

mk2 ignition wiring loom

afh inlet manifold - 130 quid in group buy

cheers saf :) yeah its a good manifold design. the carbs go on perfectly and fit nice and snug.

this may sound dum but i have a polo 6n 16v.

what are the advantages over the standard throttle body?

More power and an awesome sound basically. Max_crox got about 126bhp on the rollers with a carb setup

hey mate, its 230 for the setup. its for AFH engines, which is the 1.4 16v found in the polo 6n, so unless youve put one in your mk2 then no it wont fit.

I'm selling because the polo is gonna be on its way soon. Got my eye on a nice e30 :)

fuel consumption depends how heavy your right foot is same as normal really haha

i just worked it out that on 15 quids worth of super i got 112 miles which works out at 42mpg

alright for some. i got 80 miles to 16l of v-power last week 22mpg of fury
