14x6 wheels. what tires?

Featured Replies

ay op!

noticed a couple of my tires need replacing. at the moment the tires on them are 185/65 all round, which i dont really like.. would prefer to get something with a lower profile. 155/65/14's seem reasonably cheap, so thinking of going for that, from looking at a few wheel/tire calculator's this would be slightly lower profile, and i think would look rad.

anyone got any better suggestions?

Pictures would be radical :D

Really? i thought 185 looked a bit odd cause it's wider than the wheel itself.. kinda fancied something to look slightly strehced, hense i thought 155 would be pretty rad.

That's a possibility, as i said, i wanted a little bit of a streched look.. but this will look better than what i have atm.. will check the prices :D

- just had a quick gander on the kwikfit sire, they dont have 185/50's - is this a standard size i could find cheaply elsewhere?

And 185/55's are the same price as 155/65's, kinda comes down to which one will look nicer.

Thanks guys!

Any other thoughts/pictures?

Depends on what brand you want and so on. Set of 195 45 will be pricey.

I am putting some 175/50/14 on my 14x6 steels this week so can update then with some pics.

What tyres are they? I'm looking for cheap and chearfull, 175/50 would be pretty ideal me thinks!

I got the set for £150 delivered but then the day after the price of them seemed to shoot up. Budget brand but someone i know has them on a mk2 saloon with a GT engine running on bike carbs and he only had good things to say to be fair.

where did you order they from?

Tyretraders. Came the next day. When i ordered them they were £35 a piece. Now £47 each :?

Very odd. Lucky with timings for me i think.

Yeah i will get some pics up when they are on the car. Should be fitted sometime this week as i need to raise the rear of the car.

If i forget PM me later in the week as a reminder.
